The Avengers is made up of a group of unique people; the ever-so-slightly self-conceited Tony Stark as Iron Man, Steve Rogers as Captain America, who is still trying to get used to the present day technologies, the reluctant, but helpful Bruce Banner as the Hulk, Thor the powerful God of Thunder, the deadly Natasha Romanoff as the Black Widow and the undefeatable archer Clint Barton as Hawkeye. All these characters were originally created by Stan Lee, thanks to his amazing imagination these characters came to life in this marvelous movie. Like in all of Stan Lee’s superhero movies, he always makes an appearance somewhere within the movie. This movie is no exception and Lee’s cameo may be one of the funniest ever.

This group – The Avengers — was created so if the world ever came into a disaster that was beyond governments’ hands, they can come together and fight the true forces of evil.

After the evil Loki, Thor’s brother, was kicked off his throne in Asgard, he went to an unknown planet to plot his revenge. Not just against his brother, but against Earth, whose inhabitants which Thor now protects. Loki, now returns with a nefarious plot to conquer Earth and he will stop at nothing to see his vision realized. When his misuse of power threatens the entire planet, it may take more than the Avengers to stop him.

The midnight showing was filled with passionate fans that were willing to dress the part. Some were Captain America, others were Thor–complete with the plastic hammer and someone even showed up without a shirt on, completely covered in green body paint with Hulk hands. Before the previews began, a person who worked at the theater asked different questions that had to do with different superheroes and if someone answered it correctly they got a comic book. The anticipation for this big event thickened as she asked each question, knowing that they were one step closer to see The Avengers.

Before the movie even started, everyone could feel the excitement in the air and hear the constant chatter for this comical event. Once the lights slowly turned off the whole theater began to whoop and holler, ready to watch a movie they have been waiting to see for who knows how long.

The Avengers was full of non-stop action and it achieved in keeping everyone on the edge of their seats with its amazing effects. Director, Joss Whedon, did an amazing job at putting an equal amount of action and comedy. Some directors forget to include comic relief, but Wheldon did a very good job at showing it, making the audience constantly burst into laughter. Even someone who hasn’t read any of the comic books can enjoy the movie completely without getting lost within the plot.

People of all ages came to see this phenomenal movie. “This weekend the film took in an estimated $200.3 million, breaking the debut weekend record set in 2011 by Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2″ ($169.2 million),” said Wall Street Journalist Christopher John Farley.

Not only did the Director do a fantastic job all around, the movie wouldn’t be anything without its wonderful actors and actresses. Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark / Iron Man, Chris Evans as Steve Rogers / Captain America, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner / The Hulk, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow, Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton / Hawkeye, Tom Hiddleston as Loki and many more that worked so hard to make this magnificent movie
